Toughened Safety Glass - (required by law if
the window is less than 800mm from the internal floor or 300mm from a door)
Fire Egress Hinges - a special type of hinge
that allows the window to slide along the casement rather that just open at 90°
Low Threshold - available on door which
required wheelchair access. The low threshold is a thin aluminium strip which
sits along the bottom of the frame rather than having a large section of upvc
profile
Trickle Vents - required by law on all new
build projects. A vent which is fitted onto the top of the frame
